Thank you for your interest in matching your child with a mentor! To enroll your child, please review the bullets below to determine whether they are eligible to register at this time.
- Hampton Roads: Currently accepting applications for new Littles (ages 8-13) on an ongoing basis. If you would rather complete the form by phone, please call Sylvia Muller at 757-392-5155.
- Greater Virginia Peninsula: Currently accepting applications for new Little Sisters (girls only ages 6-13) on an ongoing basis. If you would rather complete the form by phone, please call Ja’Mario Wright at 757-253-0676.
- Greater Richmond & Tri-Cities: As of August 11, accepting applications for new Littles (ages 6-12). Waitlist spots are limited and available on a first come, first served basis. If you would rather complete the form by phone, please call Amber Chavarria at 804-319-5198.

Your child has unlimited potential and we promise to invest in meaningful one-to-one mentoring relationships with kids to help them harness and ignite their own potential – the potential they have had all along.
Kids who are matched with a Big are more likely to :
- Be more confident
- Do better in school
- Steer clear of drugs and alcohol
- Get along better with family and friends
- Feel better about themselves
You know what’s best for your child, so we’ll need your help from the start. You will provide us information about your child’s strengths and needs, and help us in matching your child with the best possible Big.
Your child’s safety is extremely important to us. Big Brothers Big Sisters conducts a thorough background check on every volunteer in our program, and every relationship is closely monitored and supported by a professionally trained Match Support Specialist.
We are committed to making sure our programs are inclusive of LGBTQ youth and volunteers. Our goal is for all LGBTQ youth to have access to a safe and supportive mentoring relationship with a caring adult.
