So, what is The Speaker’s Bureau?

The Speaker’s Bureau is an assembly of 25 current and alumni Big Brothers and Big Sisters with a mission
to deliver their inspiring stories at local businesses, universities, churches and civic organizations. The ultimate goal of
Speaker’s Bureau members is to spread the word and recruit more mentors for the children that BBBS serves.

What is the “job description” for a Speaker’s Bureau member?

- Members of the Speaker’s Bureau will be invited to speak at 3-4 recruitment presentations per year.

- Members of the Speaker’s Bureau will receive training on how to give an inspirational talk about
  the power of mentorship.

- Members of The Speaker’s Bureau must be very passionate about mentoring and volunteerism and 
  love to share their experiences.

What’s in it for YOU?

- Twice a year, we will host a Happy Hour celebration for all Speaker’s Bureau members!

- The reward of knowing that you are a vital part in recruiting mentors for the 300 children that are currently on our waiting list.

- Speaking at different organizations offers a unique networking opportunity for Speaker’s Bureau members.
