· Speaker’s Bureau: Join Director of Recruitment, Erin Frye, as a member of The Speaker’s Bureau. Accompany her to recruitment presentations at local business, universities, churches, and other civic groups to share your personal mentoring experiences. By speaking at these events, you will become a vital part of our efforts to recruit more mentors for the children we serve. The Brotherhood is a way for current male Bigs to get together and enjoy quality time with other men who are mentoring our community’s youth. The Brotherhood will meet once a month at a Greater Richmond area restaurant. RAISE FUNDS TO SUPPORT OUR LIFE IMPROVING WORK! e-mail Director of Recruitment, Erin Frye (efrye@bigbrobigsis.com) or check out the Events portion of our website to help with the following special fundraising events…. · Get Quackin’ with our annual Duck Race: This fun-filled family oriented event includes entertainment, festivities, and the amazing drop of over 18,000 rubber ducks that will race through the water along Brown’s Island. You can support the event in a number of ways: form a team for the Duck Walk & Waddle, volunteer the day of the Duck Race, purchase ducks to compete for amazing prizes, or be a part of our Duck Squad and help to sell ducks during one of our many Duck Sale events each spring and summer. · Bowl For Kids’ Sake: Coming next spring! This is the nation’s largest bowling event that raises critical funds for our programs. Join our event committee, or form a team of bowlers! (Coming Soon, Spring 2012) · Start Something Breakfast: Host a table at our free, one hour awareness and fundraising breakfast, which is held each May. This is truly an inspiring event, and we want you to help us to open doors and increase the awareness of our work across the community. (Coming Soon, Spring 2012) 3.
