A website that can be very useful as a resource is http://www.kidshealth.org

There is special information you will need to know about transporting kids safely in a car. All kids need to wear a seat belt at all times, of course.  If your little is under 12, they should ride in the back seat. This prevents possible injuries from air bags to bodies and bones not strong enough to withstand their impact. All kids under 8 need to use a booster seat, by Virginia State law.

Check out  http://www.kidshealth.org/kid/watch/out/car_safety.html for more kid friendly information.

If you would like some help preparing for or developing your mentoring relationship,

consider checking out this “Mentor Tool Kit” from The National Mentoring Partnership
